How long each date lasts?

Each date will last four minutes. This is long enough for you to judge whether you like someone enough to want to see them again, but short enough to avoid embarrassing lapses in conversation. We allow plenty of time to move between tables and complete notes.

What is a match?

A match happens when both you and somebody you have met indicate that you would like to meet again. A 'yes' match occurs when both parties have ticked 'yes' to each other and a 'friendship' match occurs when both parties have ticked 'friend' or a combination of a 'yes' and a 'friend' match.

What happens if I don't get any matches?

There is no guarantee that you will receive any matches, but what we do guarantee is that, if you have not ticked anyone you would like to meet again, you will qualify for free entry to another of our events.

I'm too shy to come on my own, can I bring a friend?

Guests are welcome, but the events are ticket-only, so they would not be able to stay and watch.

What sort of people go speed dating?

Most of the people who attend these events are professionals who are seeking to extend their social circle beyond that of work or current friendship groups.

Is it safe to meet people at a speed dating event?

Yes, absolutely. Our events are run by professional hosts who will make sure everyone is safe and enjoys the experience. We ask you to use the same safeguards and judgements about people you meet at an event as you would when meeting people under other circumstances.

How should I dress?

There is no dress code as such, although you are obviously hoping to make a good impression on those you meet!
